The MFA stands on Huntington Avenue in Boston's Fenway-Kenmore neighborhood — a short walk from the Green Line E branch and minutes from Longwood, Back Bay, and the Emerald Necklace.

By MBTA.
The dedicated Museum of Fine Arts T stop sits at the front door. Several bus routes also pass directly outside.
Subway · Green Line E.
Take the E branch outbound to the Museum of Fine Arts stop on Huntington Avenue. The Ruggles stop on the Orange Line is also a short walk via the Forsyth Way path.
Bus 39.
MBTA bus route 39 runs the full length of Huntington Avenue from Forest Hills to Back Bay Station, stopping directly outside the museum.
Crosstown & Longwood.
The CT2 crosstown bus and the LMA shuttles connect the museum to Cambridge, Kendall, and the Longwood Medical Area.
By car.
Reachable from every direction via the Mass Pike, Storrow Drive, and Boylston Street.
- N · NORTH I-93 South Take I-93 South to Storrow Drive West. Exit at Fenway / Kenmore, follow Boylston Street, then turn left onto Hemenway and right onto Huntington Avenue.
- S · SOUTH I-93 North I-93 North to Exit 18 (Massachusetts Avenue). Follow Massachusetts Avenue north to Huntington Avenue and turn left.
- W · WEST I-90 East / Mass Pike Mass Pike to the Copley Square exit. Follow Stuart Street to Huntington Avenue and continue west past Symphony Hall.
- ✈ AIR From Logan Airport Sumner Tunnel to Storrow Drive West, then exit at Fenway / Kenmore.
Where to park.
Two adjacent garages serve the museum: the on-site MFA parking garage at 88 Pinckney Street and the Museum Road Garage on the Northeastern University side. Limited metered street parking is available along Huntington and Forsyth Way; observe posted hours.
Accessible parking is available at the level entrance on the Fenway side. Drop-off and pick-up are best done at the State Street Corporation Fenway Entrance.
